WAH Self Love Campaign

The #wahSELFLOVE campaign was a response to the crisis we were seeing in girls and young women across the WAH community, from staff members suffering with panic attacks, to customers with self-harm scars and models with near-debilitating insecurities. We decided to switch things up for Valentines, creating a two week campaign all about self love, empowerment and self-care, because only when you love yourself can you truly love others.

To kick off the campaign, we organised the first #wahSELFLOVE event. Four speakers - Sharmadean Reid, Grace Victory, The Slumflower and Daisy Keens came together to discuss their self love journeys and self-care tips. The salon was packed - girls filled the room and sat on every step just to listen to the stories being shared. The energy and sense of community was palpable, people stood to share their experiences and we cried, laughed and started healing together. See video below.

Each day, from Feb 1st-14th, we posted a self love challenge across all social media platforms. The campaign had an amazing response, girls across the world had joined in and were celebrating their new-found confidence and community.

In the first two weeks of February, 10% of all WAH proceeds went to MIND mental health charity, to support those suffering from mental illness and to support services across the UK.
